Update on Volunteering

We have previously used volunteers to staff our Enquiry Service.  Unfortunately, we are not currently in a position to continue recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.  Therefore we are not seeking applications for this or any other office-based role for the forseeable future.

 

Because we have limited resources we regret that...

  • we cannot offer work experience for school or college students
  • we cannot offer summer placements for law students
  • we cannot offer work shadowing
  • we cannot offer opportunities for volunteers to undertake casework

 

Other opportunities

We remain keen to recruit Volunteer Management Committee members.

 

Applicants must...

  • demonstrate an understanding of the ethos of the Law Centre
  • be willing to attend a monthly Management Committee Meeting
  • be prepared to contribute to a Sub-Committee for other work

 

It would be desirable for Management Committee volunteers to have experience of running an organisation, or managing people, or providing a service to the public.

 

Volunteers with knowledge of Financial Management are especially welcome.
