Sheffield Law Centre exists to provide free, independent legal advice. It aims to help people who cannot access or afford other legal help.

Sheffield Law Centre is a registered charity. It was formed in 1984 and is run by a management committee of local people.

What does Sheffield Law Centre do?

We offer advice in the following areas of law...

• Housing
• Employment
• Immigration
• Asylum
• Disability Discrimination

What does Sheffield Law Centre not do?

• We do not advise landlords or employers
• We do not usually help people outside Sheffield
• We do not advise about other issues such as benefits and debt

Sheffield Law Centre’s aim is to help people suffering oppression or unjust treatment. This means that we may refuse to help anyone who behaves in an oppressive manner.
